“The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a growing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life.” Sr. Hugh Walpole
I celebrated 9 amazing years of fun, love, happiness, adventure, and the making of a beautiful family yesterday, with an amazing person whom I get to spend my days with.
We decided to leave our little cupkeiki at home and enjoyed a few hours together at The Chocolate Cafe! The ambiance was perfect. The walls were a subtle blue and brown giving it a warm feeling, it was small, cozy and quiet; perfect for a date night.
A little Prosecco to start the evening.
Apple Bacon Quiche, with Applesauce and Tomato Soup!
Vegetarian Risotto, with Artichoke Hearts and Tomato!
The entrees were delicious, you just can’t go wrong with good comfort food; but I think what I was most excited about was dessert! The ultimate chocolate cake description caught my eye right away. Actually, everything on the menu with the word Chocolate in it caught my eye right away. The cake was so big (can a slice of chocolate cake ever be too big?! I doubt it!!), I had to take some home with me, and devour it the next morning!!
Chai Creme Brulee!
Ultimate Chocolate Cake!
Our evening stroll home, holding hands and looking forward the next 9 nine years!
